U.S. Men's National Team head coach Bob Bradley has named 30 players to
the training camp roster that will begin gathering Jan. 4 at U.S.
Soccer's National Training Center at The Home Depot Center in Carson,

products Kevin Alston (Silver Spring, Md.), Kyle Beckerman (Crofton,

The Baltimore Blast improved to 3-1 with a 9-8 victory over the Philadelphia KiXX Friday night at 1st Mariner Arena.
D.C. United's Bill Hamid won the "Best Academy Story" award as the final four winners of the 2009 Best of U.S. Soccer Awards were been announced.
Loyola soccer players Theresa Ferraina, Christina Gomez, Amanda Meehan, Lina Staropoli, Phil Bannister and Glenn Leitch were named to the NSCAA Scholar All-East Region teams.
Loyola women's soccer player Theresa Ferraina has been named a NSCAA Third Team Academic All-American.
William and Mary Tribe sophomore Diana Weigel was named to the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) First-Team
The Washington Post announced the Southern Maryland All-Extra for boys' soccer and girls' soccer. Northern's Eric Clark and Leonardtown's Johanna Rambo won Boys and Girls Player of the Year, respectively.
14 Virginia Legacy Players made the Virginia ODP State Pool, seven of whom made the state pool last year.
DC Stoddert's Olivia Korhonen (GU13 Blue Metros) and Rebecca Tucci (GU14 Blue Mischief) were selected to the 1996 Girls' Virginia State Team after training all fall with the ODP's Northern District team.
Six players from the Potomac region were selected for the 2009 NSCAA/adidas Boys High School All-America team.
Eleven local players earned places on the 2009 NSCAA/adidas Girls' High School Scholar All-America Team.

United Soccer Leagues announced the alignment for the 2010 W-League season, unveiling the divisional breakdown of the 29-team competition.
The US Youth Soccer National League Under-15, Under-16 and Under-17 Girls teams will resume League play Dec. 31-Jan. 2 at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla.
Abby Cahalan, 13 year old former Bays player, was on Capitol Hill last week to discuss the topic of concussions in youth sports. Abby was forced to leave the sport she loved due to sustained suffering brought on by multiple concussions.
It was a big weekend for Americans playing overseas, including solid performances from Marcus Hahnemann (Wolverhampton), Tim Howard (Everton), DaMarcus Beasley (Rangers), and Clint Dempsey (Fulham).

Prince William Courage will be hosting its annual Icebreaker Tournament
over two weekends this spring. The first weekend will be March 20-21
and will include U11 and U12 Boys only. The first weekend games will be

include U9-U19 Girls as well as U9,U10, and U13-U19 Boys. The second
weekend will be played on both turf and quality grass surfaces. The
