Remembering Alan Kelly: Though no funeral will be held, United fans and those wishing to celebrate the life of Alan Kelly will gather At Ireland's Four Courts in Arlington, VA on May 31 at 5:00 p.m. ET. Donations in his memory may also be sent to: Casey House Hospice, 6001 Muncaster Mill Road, Rockville, MD 20855.

Tim Howard Profiled on ESPN: In the lead up to the FA Cup final, ESPN produced a major piece for Sports Center profiling America goalkeeper and Everton star Tim Howard. The story covers Howard's career, from a 10-year old in New Jersey, to MLS, to Manchester United, and now with Everton on the verge of an FA Cup.

Two Local Keepers Profiled in Wash Post: Check out this story on Abdul "Bill" Hamid and Samir Badr by Paul Tenorio in today's Washington Post. Two two of the top goalkeeping prospects in the USA, both are teamamates on D.C. United Academy teams, and both may head for European developmental youth contracts soon.

Champions League Final Tomorrow: Don't know what to say that hasn't been said about the biggest club match of the year on the planet. Even though we try to write PSW in as way that explains the world of soccer for the area's Soccer dads and moms that may not know much about the sport outside of their child's team, this is one topic where I have to say that if you don't know about it, you REALLY REALLY don't know what your missing. I'm going to put the onus on you to look it up if you really want to understand why the sport of soccer has both started and ended wars between nations, filled the lives of so many world youth with hope, and so many adults with passion beyond comprehension.

Tryout Promotion Options: This is our third "tryout season" here are Potomac Soccer Wire, and it's off to the most hectic start yet. It seems like tryouts are being held earlier and earlier each year in the race to lock up players before they explore other options. We want to help by making it easier then ever to get the word out about your tryouts, but also caution the community on getting too far out ahead on what should be a timely, well thought out decision. Check out our guide to promoting your tryouts with us.
