Baltimore Bays have had several recent successes. Casa Mia U14s advanced to the Maryland State Cup Final and have also secured one of four Premier League playoff spots. The U16 Girls exploded for 5 goals this past weekend against Parkville Pumas to advance to the Semi Final of the Maryland State Cup. And the United U9s won the U10 Division in the Old Line State Classic Tournament this past weekend.

The Richmond Kickers Elite team continued their quest in sweltering heat for the VCCL Club Championship with another positive performance versus FC Richmond over the weekend, ending up with a record of five wins, two ties and one loss.

Richmond Strikers Academy announced two more players committed to college; Charlie Donahue, Emory University; Jack VanArsdale, VCU.

The U.S. Beach Soccer National Team has been drawn into Group B of the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship along with Costa Rica and Bahamas.

On April 25, Real San Vicente defeated Victoria 7-1, and La Chapin edged
Club Wilstermann 1-0 in semifinal action of La Super Copa, hosted by D.C.
United. The Final on May 9 at 4:00PM will feature Real San Vicente
(Arlington Soccer League) vs. La Chapin (MD International Soccer League).

Chesterfield United FC Technical Director, Kevin Darcy, spent spring break coaching in Europe with Virginia State ODP. The trip was attended by the ODP boys and girls 1994 & 1995 teams as well as staff coaches and technical staff from Virginia Youth Soccer Association.

Richmond Strikers has posted outcomes from travel teams pursuing the Virginia State Cup. Four teams made it through to State Cup action on May 2nd.

DC Stoddert Soccer is entering a team for the first time in the 8th annual DC Scores Sharks v Suits competition and is looking for adult amateur men and women for the team. The contest, which last year raised $80,000, will be held at Trinity College on June 13 and 14 and involves playing from three up to five 7 v 7 games.

Tickets are still on sale for The Soccer Ball, Thursday April 30, 2009 at the Organization of American States. The Soccer Ball, highlighted in BizBash Magazine as one of Washington's Top 100 Events, is DC SCORES' annual fundraising gala presented by Latin Concepts and sponsored by DC Magazine. Approximately 400 guests from the Washington, DC business and philanthropic community are expected to attend.

MDCVSA and Commonwealth Soccer League will be hosting the first annual summer tournament on July 11-12, 2009 at Patriot Park in Spotsylvania County, Va.
