The U.S. Women's National Team will play Canada twice in July, facing its familiar foe on Sunday, July 19, at Rochester Rhinos Stadium in Rochester, N.Y., and then again three days later on Wednesday, July 22, at Blackbaud Stadium in Charleston, S.C.

Real Maryland is opening their second USL-2 season this weekend, taking on the Bermuda Hogges with both teams looking to improve on poor 2008 results.

The Richmond Kickers USL-2 pro team has signed Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) alum David Rosenbaum and midfielder/defender Aziz Souare, who was identified at a combine. Forwards Fabian Dawkins and Pat Viray have been released from their contracts.

The RFK Auxiliary Turf Field will host semifinal games for La Super Copa this Saturday. The action begins at noon when Victoria takes on Real San Vicente and continues at 2pm with the second semifinal between La Chapin and Club Wilstermann. Admission is free.

The Kickers' new state of the art Ukrop Park sports complex at the intersection of Chippenham Parkway and Ironbridge Road is on schedule to be completed this summer. Given good weather, four turf fields will be complete with lighting and irrigation by May 15th. Two synthetic fields will be ready for Sportexe to install their Turf system on May 15th with a planned completion of late June.

The NSCAA is calling for nominations for positions on the NSCAA Board of Directors. Nominations must be postmarked no later than May 31, 2009. The election will culminate Jan. 8, 2010 and results will be announced at the Annual Meeting of the membership, Jan. 15, 2010, in Philadelphia, Pa.

Churchland Soccer League, Portsmouth VA. is looking for a volunteer or two to work with the Travel/Select Commissioner as an assistant, learning the ins and outs of running a Travel program.

2008-09 VYSA State Cup April 18 results are posted and the April 25 schedule is available.

Application deadline is May 1st for U19 teams wishing to compete in the 2009 Maryland State Cup.
