Former George Mason forward Kwame Adjeman-Pamboe (Bowie, Md.) was selected by the Colorado Rapids in the second round (28th overall pick) of the 2009 MLS SuperDraft. Adjeman-Pamboe becomes the seventh player in Mason history to be selected in the MLS draft.
Former Liberty University forward Joshua Boateng was selected in the third round of the 2009 Major League Soccer (MLS) SuperDraft. Boateng becomes the first Liberty soccer player to be picked in the MLS SuperDraft, after the Los Angeles Galaxy chose him as the 33rd overall pick.
Thanks to the support of the Richmond community, Richmond Kickers Indoor was able to donate $2,622 to Connor's Heroes during the second annual Kick Out Cancer event held at SCOR on Saturday, December 20th. This year's total more than doubled the proceeds raised during the inaugural event in 2007.
The National Soccer Coaches Association of America recently announced two Richmond Kickers Destiny players as 2008 collegiate season All-Americans. Nikki Krzysik and forward Claire Zimmeck were named to the Division I First and Second Teams, respectively.
Robbie Aristodemo, a midfielder for the Baltimore Blast, ranked fourth on the team last season with 41 points and he remains tied for the league lead in assists.

The official news release from the Washington Freedom regarding their WPS draft picks was not out before press time today, but the draft results are in. The Freedom have selected (or traded for) the following players: Allie Long, Alex Singer, Joanna Lohman, Jill Gilbeau, and Parrissa Eyorokon
It has been reported in a DC Examiner blog that Ali Krieger broke her foot in the midst of her holiday rehab work on a previous injury that kept her off the field most of the fall. She is reportedly having surgery and will be sidelined for two more months.
Head coach Jim Gabarra and Freedom player Lori Lindsey will run a field session in the ballroom from 2-3 p.m. at the VYSA Workshop at the Hyatt Regency in Arlington on Friday, Jan. 23 and Saturday, Jan. 24.

Real Maryland FC, a member of the United Soccer Leagues Second Division, has announced the addition of another Super Y League youth team to the club. To compliment the club's new Super Y Teams in the U15's, U16's and U17's, Real Maryland FC will also be fielding a U14 Team. Matt Pilkington will be the Head Coach.
