The No. 20/23 Georgetown University men's team continued its unbeaten streak with a 1-0 win Wednesday over Stony Brook. With the victory, the Hoyas improve to 5-0 on the season after holding opponents scoreless for all 450 minutes of play.
FCV Synergy U15G went undefeated to take the Second Division championship in the Greensboro Adidas Labor Day Shootout 2008. This makes five consecutive tournament championship titles won by the team since last May.
The Hotspurs collected four wins on their way to being crowned Champions of the U10 Girls Premier Division of the FYPC Patriot Cup.

Crystal Palace and Cameroon U-23 midfielder Andongcho "Matthew" Mbuta impressed the Red Bulls in his trial, and the club is now negotiating to acquire the speedy winger.
USL and England-based Beswicks Sports have reached a partnership to develop affiliations between European clubs and USL franchises. This agreement will make it possible to exchange players from the youth soccer clubs with those from European clubs.
Brooke Alexander, T.C. Williams grad and former head soccer coach at Falls Church High, was officially named the new Oakton High Cougars' coach on Sept. 1.
