The Virginia Rush mourns the loss of Jonathan "Jonny" Hart, coach of the Bayside U6 Boys. Jonathan Neal Hart, 36, passed way in his home July 20, 2008.
After two weather delays and three and a half hours, Real Maryland fell 2-1 to the Bermuda Hogges in their final home game of the season. The game was ended in the 76th minute because the stadium lights are required by law to be shut off at 11:45pm.
The Washington Freedom will travel to Atlanta to take on the Atlantic Division runner-up, the Charlotte Lady Eagles, at 5:00 pm on Friday, July 25th at the Atlanta Silverbacks Park.
MLS Midfielder Dax McCarty, FC Dallas, has been added to the U.S. Men's Olympic Team after defender Nathan Sturgis was ruled out of the Olympic Games with an injured hamstring.
Richmond Kickers Super Y-League teams resulted in 3 wins and a loss on the road to the Gunners Tuesday afternoon.
The Northern Virginia Royals Super Y-League teams, which include U13 through U17 boys age groups, earned a cumulative 8-2-2 record against Alpharetta United, Atlanta Fire United, and the Atlanta Silverbacks boys Super Y-league squads on a three-day road trip in central Georgia over the weekend.
D.C. United will host the third annual Latin American Festival before the Black-and-Red's game against Kansas City on Saturday, August 2nd at 7:30 p.m. at RFK Stadium.
