---- Notes ----

The U.S. Under-20 Men's National Team drew Honduras, 0-0, on Saturday, but won the game on penalty kicks, putting away all of their chances for a 4-2 win.

A Soccer Mom Camp will be held on Saturday, April 12th, in conjunction with the 12th Annual KICKS Against Breast Cancer Tournament, at the Maryland SoccerPlex from 12:00-1:30 pm. NO prior soccer experience is required.

The Virginia Rush have posted a full list of Rush players who have chosen to pursue the game at the college level.

It is the 3rd Annual Spring Scramble which raises money to support the GMU women's soccer program, and will be held on the university's synthetic field and grass fields rain or shine.  It is an 8-aside tournament to large goals and they still need 3-4 U13 or 14 teams and one more U11 or U12 team.  George Mason women's players will play William and Mary at 12 noon during this fundraiser. Please contact Diane Drake by Wed. March 5th if you want to play at ddrake3@gmu.edu or 703-993-3295.

---- Editor's Corner ----

What makes a midfielder: U.S. Women's "Forward" Heather O'Reilly was recently moved to midfield by new Head Coach Pia Sundhage. The move was smart, as O'Reilly flourished in her new role, leading the U.S. team to the Four Nations championship and earning MVP honors. Reading about why Pundhage made the move is a great explanation of the attributes and approach it takes to be a successful middie.

Hicks walks alone: The son of Liverpool co-owner Tom Hicks was reportedly drenched with beer and spat towards by fans while visiting the famous Sandon pub in Liverpool. Tom Hicks Jr. went to the pub after a recent Premier League win to see the birthplace of the club and chat with fans.
