Joining D.C. United Academy in early 2007, Shane Cooke's hard work, skill and dedication has earned him the honor of being the 2007 Player of the Year. Coming from Mid County Soccer Assocation Strykers, he quickly experienced success and his time with the D.C. United Academy allowed him to train at times with the first team. He made his international debut this past October with the U-18 National Team in France, where he scored a goal against Turkey.

> Mark Simpson Goalkeeper Camps
Mark Simpson will be conducting weekly Goalkeeper training sessions every Wednesday in January in South Riding, VA. Cost is $40 per session. Sessions are indoors on a gym floor, but with diving matts. It doesn't get any better than Mark Simpson, 3-time MLS Cup winner with D.C. United, as well as their current Goalkeepers Coach. South Riding: Wednesdays in January 5:15-6:30 p.m.

For players in the middle of their U8 year, but interested in playing travel at U9. Teams will consist of 6 player each, with 4v4 real indoor games under guidance of professional trainers. Teams welcome, just sign up as individuals and we'll coordinate player placements prior to the league.
