D.C. United announced Wednesday the club has acquired goalkeeper Zach Wells and a conditional pick in the 2009 MLS SuperDraft from Houston in exchange for defender Bobby Boswell. Boswell departs D.C. after three full seasons in the District. The 24-year old played in 80 total games (78 starts) while a member of the Black-and-Red, totaling four goals and four assists as a central defender.

Mark Simpson will be conducting two separate five-week Goalkeeper camps this winter in Northern Virginia. Classes will be held in both South Riding and Sterling. It doesn't get any better than Mark Simpson, 3-time MLS Cup winner with D.C. United, as well as their current Goalkeepers Coach. Mark is quite simply one of the best goalkeeper coaches in the USA, at the top of his game. This is a can't miss for any aspiring Keeper.

Yes, that Ricky Ervins - Super Bowl Champion veteran of the Washington Redskins. Ricky has teamed up with Terry Foley Soccer School to tailor speed, strength, agility, and conditioning programs specifically for soccer. His 10-week program can make a difference in any players game. Sterling classes have already begun, but can be pro-rated. For players in the middle of their U8 year, but interested in playing travel at U9. Teams will consist of 6 player each, with 4v4 real indoor games under guidance of professional trainers. Teams welcome, just sign up as individuals and we'll coordinate player placements prior to the league.
