---- Editor's Corner ----
If you want a new Stadium for D.C. United, please sign this petition today.
Could tonight be the night? The night an MLS team finally beats a foreign side on their soil in a major competition? You don't have to be a United fan to have stake in tonight's match up between D.C. United and CD Guadalajara of Mexico. You only have to be a supporter of soccer in the United States. A win for United is a win for U.S. soccer because it gains respect south of our borders, and should translate into more opportunities for American-based teams abroad, as well as more interest from fans with Hispanic origins living in the USA. There are no excuses this time around for either side. Both teams are in the heart of their seasons, in top physical shape, and both take this competition VERY seriously. So seriously that Chivas' fired their coach after last week's loss to United at RFK. Advancing to the next round of this tournament will take United to Argentina to face Arsenal. Storied Brazilian clubs Vasco and Sao Paulo are already in the final eight as well. The game starts at 11 PM on Fox Soccer. Don't miss it!
