In its last friendly before the start of the CONCACAF Gold Cup, the U.S. national team downed China 4-1 on Saturday at Spartan Stadium in San Jose, California. Though composed primarily of European-based players, with most of the MLS players in the U.S. team remaining with their clubs through this weekend's slate of matches, former Chivas USA and current U.S. head coach Bob Bradley brought in four of his former charges, taking advantage of his team's only open date this weekend.

The Freestate Bravehearts Boys U14 (born after Aug 1, 1993) are holding open tryouts on June 5, 7 and 12, 5:30-7:00PM on Murtaugh#2 at the Allen Pond field complex in Bowie.  The team is coached by Bill Heiser, a former US Youth National Team member who represented the US in a Youth World Cup, wand also was a captain on the Nationally ranked Loyola College Greyhounds. The team is looking for talented, hard working and dedicated players to help take the team to the highest levels of the NCSL and beyond. The team is particularly interested in filling the goal keeper position, however, all positions will be competed at these tryouts.
