Last week, the members of Mid-County Soccer Association and the Manassas Area Soccer Association/Manassas Area Travel voted to proceed forward with the merger of the two clubs into a single club - the Northern Virginia Soccer Club (NVSC). Starting Fall of 2007, MCSA/MASA/MATT will merge, providing combined resources of over 50 years of soccer experience. Thanks to all of those who attended the meetings and helped in forming this partnership between the two clubs.

> Freestate Bravehearts U14 Boys Tryouts
The Freestate Bravehearts boys U14 (born after Aug 1, 1993) are holding open tryouts on June 5, 7 and 12, 5:30-7:00PM on Murtaugh#2 at the Allen Pond field complex in Bowie. The team is looking for talented, hard working and dedicated players to help take the team to the highest levels of the NCSL and beyond. The team is particularly interested in filling the goal keeper position, however, all positions will be competed at these tryouts. The Potomac Thunder, a WAGS Division 2 team, will conduct open tryouts to identify and select dedicated players with competitive drive and a motivation to excel. We have a nucleus of excellent players, a proven coach, and a supportive group of families who are committed to becoming a premier team. We are looking for players at any position who can make an immediate impact as starters or key reserves, and we invite girls who are interested to try out on one or more of the following dates. Mondays:  5/21, 5/28, and/or 6/4 at Julius West Middle School. Wednesdays: 5/23, 5/30, and or 6/6 at Waters Landing Local Park. Chantilly's FC Virginia Courage (formerly Sterling Courage) are seeking talented players who are personally committed to achieving long term success in their soccer career. The Majestics and Royals first doubleheader is on Saturday 5/19 at Gar-field High School in Woodbridge, Virginia.  The Majestics play the New Jersey Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. and the Royals play Delaware Dynasty at 7:30 p.m. Game Schedule Magnets will be given away to the first 1000 fans. The Royals also have a game on Sunday 5/20 at 5:00 p.m. at Gar-field High School. Group Discounts, End of the Season Soccer Parties, and Birthday Party Packages are available. Come see the 1st Game Ever for both the FC Fredericksburg Gunners' Women's
and Men's teams today, Friday, May 18th at the Fredericksburg Academy soccer facilities.  The PDL Gunners take on Delaware Dynasty at 6:00 PM, preceeded by the Lady Gunners taking on Charlotte's Lady Eagles W-League team at 3:30.
