PWSI's Christian Metzler wins 2012 Inspireum scholarship
3 Jan, 2012PWSI's Christian Metzler has been named the winner of the 2012 Inspireum Award, earning the Woodbridge, Va. native a $7,500 academic scholarship.
Metzler, a senior at Pope John Paul the Great Catholic High School who plays club soccer for PWSI Courage '93 White, is among the top goalkeepers in the state of Virginia, leading his team to a winning season and a spot on the All-State Team.
He is known for his ability as a talented soccer player, excellent student and a compassionate mentor, rather than his disability, as he was born with just one leg.
