Two former William & Mary soccer players named Silver Stars by CAA

8 Feb, 2010

Two former William and Mary soccer players Adin Brown and Natalie Neaton were named “Silver Stars” by the Colonial Athletic Association on Monday.

As a culmination to the CAA’s 25th Anniversary celebration, a committee of administrators from each of the CAA’s 12 member institutions was given the daunting task of selecting 25 CAA “Silver Stars” – the 25 student-athletes who have had the greatest impact on the conference over the past 25 years.

“The process of selecting the Silver Stars was an ominous task for our committee with the incredible accomplishments of not only those selected, but also the final nominees who were not selected,” CAA Commissioner Tom Yeager said. “The synopsis speaks for itself. Millions of fans have witnessed some of the nation’s greatest athletic accomplishments by this outstanding group of individuals who have set the bar for those that follow.”

Adin Brown –1996-99 – Pleasant Valley, Calif. - Men’s Soccer
- Two-time first-team All-American and U.S. National team member in 1999 and 2000.
- Four-time All- CAA and three-time All-South Atlantic Region selection at goalkeeper.
- W&M’s all-time leader in saves (417), shutouts (34) and save percentage (.841).

Natalie Neaton – 1993-97 – Brighton, Mich. – Women’s Soccer
- NSCAA National Player of the Year in 1995 and two-time CAA Player of the Year.
- Four-time All-America , All-Region and All-CAA selection.
- W&M’s career leader in goals (81) and second all-time in points (190).
