13 Dec, 2007Virginia Tech junior Patrick Nyarko became the first men’s

Thursday. He was one of three forwards to earn first-team honors. He is tied
for the team lead with seven goals and has a team-high 10 assists, totaling 24

In addition to earning first-team All-ACC honors for the third consecutive

Nyarko has posted a pair of three-point games this season, at Tulsa and against
Maryland, to go along with back-to-back game-winning goals in Tech’s pair of
1-0 victories in the last two rounds of the NCAA Tournament: at 22:44 at home
against Old Dominion in the third round, and at 21:39 in the quarterfinal match
at Connecticut.
No. 11 seed Virginia Tech is making its first-ever appearance in the College Cup
against No. 2 seed Wake Forest tomorrow evening in the semifinals of the NCAA
