George Mason shuts out James Madison men's soccer 3-0

The James Madison men\'s soccer team gave up a season-high three goals in a 3-0 loss at George Mason in Colonial Athletic Association action Saturday night.

JMU\'s overall record is 7-3-2, and the Dukes have a 2-2-1 CAA record.  George Mason is 5-5-1 overall and 2-3-1 in league play.

Ernesto Marquez scored one goal and assisted the other two scores. 

The Patriots led 2-0 at intermission following goals by Ryan Gracia in the 19th minute and by Marquez just 3:32 before halftime.

The third George Mason score came in the 80th minute, when Marquez played a through ball to Victor Freeman, who scored the goal.

JMU played a man down for the final 34 minutes after freshman Karel Manrau (Neuchatel, Switzerland/Jean-Piaget) received a red card.

Dukes\' senior goalkeeper Ken Manahan (Fredericksburg, Va./Chancellor) made three saves, and George Mason goalie Sean Cote finished with six saves to get the shutout.

JMU took 14 shots to 10 for George Mason.
