Individual Honors
Freshman forward Emily Banes of Towson University has been named as the co-winner of the Colonial Athletic Association Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Week award.

William and Mary Tribe\'s Kaitlin O’Connor was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week, while Katherine Yount was selected as the CAA Player of the Week.

Navy freshman forward Ashlynn Soellner has been named the Patriot League Women\'s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and junior Katelyn George has been tabbed as the league\'s top defender.


NCAA Men - Division I

No. 2 Virginia men rally for 2-1 exhibition victory at George Mason
The second-ranked Virginia men’s soccer team earned a 2-1 victory in a road exhibition played Saturday night in Fairfax, Va., at George Mason. Sophomore forward Will Bates (Chester, Va.) scored the game-winning goal for the Cavaliers, while sophomore midfielder Ari Dimas (Chesapeake, Va.) had a goal and an assist for UVa.

Marino, Davin lead American University men past Richmond, 2-0, in exhibition
Junior Mike Marino and senior Jamie Davin each scored a goal to lift the American University men’s soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Richmond on Saturday afternoon in an exhibition match.

NCAA Women - Division I

American University women edged 1-0 at Providence
The American University women’s soccer team travelled to Providence College on Sunday afternoon, where the Eagles came up on the short end of a 1-0 decision.

American University women drop 3-0 decision at Boston University
The American University women’s soccer team continued its road swing on Friday night, where the Eagles fell 3-0 at Boston University. Arianna Efstathiou played all 90 minutes in goal for the Eagles, recording six saves.

Longwood women defeat South Carolina State, 3-1
Longwood University won its second consecutive women’s soccer match Sunday afternoon, taking a 3-1 victory past visiting South Carolina State University from the Great West Conference at the Athletics Complex in Farmville. The Lancers spotted the Lady Bulldogs an early goal before responding with two goals within four minutes (3:52) en route to their home triumph.

Longwood women defeat visiting UMBC 3-0
Longwood University won its first women’s soccer match of the season Friday night, taking a 3-0 home victory past the University of Maryland, Baltimore County from the America East Conference at the Athletics Complex in Farmville. The Lancers scored two early goals within 55-seconds and never looked back en route to their shutout triumph.

Nebraska tops Loyola women 2-0 in Husker Classic finale
The University of Nebraska scored a goal in each half, and the host Huskers defeated Loyola University Maryland, 2-0, in the finale of the Adidas Husker Classic on Sunday morning.

Creighton rallies to beat Loyola women, 2-1, Adidas Husker Classic
Gianna Mangione scored less than eight minutes into the game, but Creighton University rallied to defeat Loyola University Maryland, 2-1, on Friday afternoon in the first game of the Adidas Husker Classic.

Navy women\'s soccer beats George Mason in overtime, 1-0
For the second time in three days, freshman Ashlynn Soellner headed in a game-winning corner kick from Katelyn George, giving Navy (2-1-1) a 1-0 overtime win over George Mason (1-1-0) in women\'s soccer action at George Mason Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Soellner\'s late goal lifts Navy women to 1-0 win over Mt. St. Mary\'s in home opener
Freshman Ashlynn Soellner (Holidaysburg, Pa.) headed in a corner kick in the 85th minute to give Navy (1-1-1) a 1-0 win over Mount St. Mary\'s (0-1-0) in women\'s soccer action on Friday night. It was Navy\'s 2010 home opener at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.

On the strength of a 2-0-0 weekend, the Navy women\'s soccer team has made its National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Mid-Atlantic Region Poll debut on Monday at No. 10.

Towson women rally to edge Duquesne for first win of season, 2-1
Sophomore midfielder Cheyenne Skidmore (Liberty H.S./Eldersburg, Md.) scored the eventual game-winning goal with 7:01 remaining in regulation as Towson University (1-1-1) earned its first win of the season, a 2-1 non-conference victory over Duquesne University (1-2-1) at the Dukes’ Rooney Field on Sunday afternoon.

Papciak leads Towson women to scoreless draw against Saint Louis
Junior goalkeeper Jocelyn Papciak (Atholton H.S./Columbia, Md.) earned the third shutout of her college career by making five saves as Towson University (0-1-1) posted a scoreless draw against Saint Louis University (0-1-2) in the opening match of the Duquesne Classic at Rooney Field on Friday afternoon.

UMBC plays Campbell to 1-1 draw in women’s soccer
UMBC (1-2-1) and Campbell (1-2-1) each scored in the final four minutes of regulation, but neither could find the back of the net in overtime and the teams settled for a 1-1 tie Monday evening at the Eakes Athletic Complex.

VCU women battle St. John\'s to scoreless tie
Freshman Megan Lynch earned her first collegiate shutout as the VCU Rams posted a 0-0 draw with Big East power St. John\'s in both team’s finale at the JMU/Comfort Inn Invitational.

A late goal doomed the VCU women Friday evening in a tough 2-1 loss to Villanova, a program that has reached the NCAA Tournament in six of the past eight years. Sophomore Bre White (Manassas, Va.) scored her first collegiate goal for the Rams.

Cavalier women down Connecticut 1-0 in double overtime at PSU Invitational
The No. 7 Virginia women’s soccer team concluded play at the Penn State Invitational on Sunday with a 1-0 double overtime victory over Connecticut. Meghan Lenczyk (McLean, Va.) converted a penalty kick in the 106th minute to give the Cavaliers the victory.

No. 7 Virginia women play to 1-1 draw at Penn State
The No. 7 Virginia women’s soccer team played to a 1-1 draw at No. 11 Penn State in their first road game of the 2010 season. The teams traded second half goals to tie in front of 3,912 fans, the largest in Penn State women’s soccer history. Each team remained unbeaten on the season, with the Cavaliers moving to 2-0-1 and the Nittany Lions to 1-0-1.

VMI women fall to Old Dominion, 4-1
Two Old Dominion second-half goals broke open a close match, sending the visiting Lady Monarchs to a 4-1 win over VMI in women’s soccer action Friday at Patchin Field.

William & Mary women upset #12 Penn State 2-1 at PSU Invitational
The William and Mary Tribe women’s soccer team pulled off the come-from-behind upset on Sunday afternoon, beating the #12-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions at the PSU Invitational, 2-1. Freshman Audrey Barry scored her first collegiate goal, while senior Kaitlin O’Connor notched the match-winner for the Tribe.

W&M women tie Connecticut 0-0 in Penn State Invitational
The William and Mary Tribe women’s soccer team battled the Univeristy of Connecticut Huskies to a 0-0 draw on Friday night in the first match of the Penn State Invitational. With the tie, the Tribe moves its record to 1-0-1 on the season, while UConn moves to 0-1-1.
