Manchester United accepts Madrid's £80m bid for Ronaldo
11 Jun, 2009English Premier League champion Manchester United have accepted an £80m ($131.6m or €93.9m) offer from the famous spanish side Real Madrid for world player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo. A statement on the United website confirmed that a deal for the 24-year-old should be completed by the end of the month. This news comes the same week that Real Madrid agreed to a £59m deal ($97m or €69m) to sign Kaka. Real Madrid is scheduled to play MLS club D.C. United in Washington in July at Fed Ex Field, where the duo could make their debuts.
