TRYOUT GUIDELINES: Options and ideas for promoting your soccer tryouts with PSW
2 Jun, 2009This is our third "tryout season" here are Potomac Soccer Wire, and it\'s off to the most hectic start yet. It seems like tryouts are being held earlier and earlier each year in the race to lock up players before they explore other options. We want to help by making it easier then ever to get the word out about your tryouts, but also caution the community on getting too far out ahead on what should be a timely, well thought out decision.
While some area leagues don\'t allow tryouts ads to be submitted or posted before specific dates, we don\'t believe advertising the problem. Rather, the problem lies in needing beginning - and sometimes ending - tryouts before the current season is even over.
So, we want you to advertise your tryouts as much as possible, and will help you get the word out to the area soccer community as best we can. But we also beg you to delay your final decisions as long as possible, and not to be in a rush to name a team before the cross-town rival even holds their first tryout.

4. SoccerAds.com
This is an older site actually owned by our Publisher, HummerSport, LLC. It is most popular with that adult amatuer soccer crowd, and boasts a large list of available players.
Cost: $10 for 30-days for teams, FREE for players

5. Banner Ads
Color banner ads on PotomacSoccerWire.com are less expensive, and easier to set up than you might think. Though maybe too much effort for a single youth team, they work well for entire clubs looking to generally promote all of their teams\' tryouts.
Cost: $100/month and up
