CONCACAF Beach Soccer championships postponed as precaution

The CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship scheduled to begin Wednesday, April 29, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, has been postponed due to the growing concerns of H1N1-A in the country. The U.S. Beach Soccer National Team was scheduled to face Bahamas and Costa Rica in Group B of the regional championship. A new date for the six-team CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship, which was to conclude Sunday with the title match, has not been determined. Different options are being evaluated with local authorities.
