(Updated) USSF Division II 2010 schedule and playoff format released

U.S. Soccer Division 2 Professional League has announced two changes to the original league schedule that was released on Feb. 8, 2010. 

Division 2 Professional League Schedule Changes:
Current Date: Aug. 21, Carolina RailHawks at Austin Aztex
New Date: Aug. 22, Carolina RailHawks at Austin Aztex

Current Date: Sept. 30, Austin Aztex at Carolina RailHawks
New Date: Oct. 1, Austin Aztex at Carolina RailHawks



The Unites States Soccer Federation (USSF) released the schedule and playoff format for the 2010 USSF Division II league. The twelve-team league consists of nine NASL teams and three USL teams, to make up two divisions of six. The season kicks off on April 10 and will run through October 3, with all teams playing a total of 30 league games (15 home, 15 away).

Playoff details were also released by the USSF for the twelve-team league, which consists of three rounds of playoffs concluding with a two-leg, aggregate score series for the championship. The top eight teams in the league will advance to playoffs.

The US based NASL teams will also compete in at least one game in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in June. The Canadian based NASL teams will play in the 2010 Nutrilite Canadian Championship.
