13 Nov, 2009

Real Maryland F.C. announced that Giuseppe (Joe) Dorini will be joining the growing staff of the Monarchs Football Club.  Coach Dorini will be coaching in the Super Y League and will be helping out on the local OBSL Travel Soccer as well.

“We are excited to bring Joe onboard because of the many different facets he brings to the club,” said General Manager David Noyes.  “In the USL, you wear many hats and Joe’s resume demonstrates his ability to do so.”

Coach Dorini holds the Premier Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and the “B” License from the United States Soccer Federation.

He began his coaching career with Blue-Grey United Club Soccer U17 & U18 in West Virginia.  Under his guidance, the U18’s became the Snickers State Cup Champions and the U17’s became the Snickers Cup Runners-ups.

After stints with various talented club teams and high schools on both the boys and girls side of the game, Coach Dorini joined West Virginia Wesleyan College (DII) as the Assistant Coach on the Men’s side.  During his stay, the team won 4 WVIAC Championships and made 3 NCAA Appearances.

In addition to his College duties, Coach Dorini was also part of the West Virginia ODP State Coaching Staff and was a USL Super Y League ODP Selection Coach.

Coach Dorini’s duties jumped when he became the General Manager and Head Coach of the newly formed USL W-League the West Virginia Illusion.

After leaving the Illusion, Dorini made a move to New Jersey, where he became the top assistant for the WPS’ Sky Blue FC.  In addition to his assistant duties, he was the director of the youth academy programs.

Coach Dorini played professional soccer from 1996-2003 with A.S. Melfi (Italy, Serie C2), the Pittsburgh Riverhounds (USL 1) and the Carolina Dynamo (Pro Select League).
