United for D.C. to hold eighth celebrity golf tournament in Reston

United for D.C., the non-profit arm of D.C. United, announced today details of the Eighth Annual United Celebrity Golf Tournament, presented by Geico.  Golfers will gather at Reston National Golf Course in Virginia for a 1:30 p.m. ET shotgun start on Thursday, July 9. Participants in this year’s event will play alongside current and former United players and coaches as well as a host of other local sports and media celebrities, all while raising money for United for D.C.  Those interested in playing may sign up at www.dcunited.com/golf.

Companies and other organizations have the opportunity to join forces with United for D.C. as a sponsor of this event.  Sponsorship opportunities are available and include: a presenting sponsor at $6,000, all-hole sponsor at $4,000 and one-hole sponsor $2,000.  To play in the tournament, the cost is $1,000 for a foursome with a celebrity, $750 per playing foursome and $250 for an individual. The tournament is limited to 36 foursomes.  All pricing includes lunch and dinner, beverages, green fees, cart usage and prizes.
