Baltimore Blast beat local rival Norfolk SharX 18-2 at 1st Mariner Arena

Led by Max Ferdinand's hat trick, the Eastern Division-leading Baltimore Blast defeated the Norfolk SharX, 18-2, Friday night at 1st Mariner Arena. The Blast and SharX will meet again in Baltimore on Friday, January 27.

Recently signed Ricardinho scored his first goal in a Blast uniform and Pat Healey added a first-quarter goal to give the Blast a 4-0 lead to start the game. Norfolk's Matthew Delicate scored Norfolk's only goal of the match, late in the quarter, to cut the Blast lead to 4-2.

The Blast dominated the second quarter, scoring three goals to jump out to a 10-2 lead at halftime. Ferdinand scored the first goal of the quarter, followed by Machel Millwood and Warren Ukah.

Ferdinand scored the lone goal of the third quarter, his second of the night, to extend the Blast lead to 12-2.

Ukah's second goal of the game came in the fifth minute of the final quarter, to make it 14-2 and Ferdinand completed the hat trick late in the game to seal the 18-2 victory.
