Americans playing abroad weekend recap; Bradley scores opener [VIDEO HIGHLIGHT]

16 Aug, 2010

As the club season overseas gets underway, American players are seeing success around the world. The biggest start came from midfielder Michael Bradley, who scored the opener for Borussia Moenchengladbach (Bundesliga) in their 3-1 victory over second division FC Erzgebirge Aue in the first round of the DFB Pokal. See video below.

Stuart Holden played all 90 minutes for Bolton against Fulham (Clint Dempsey came off the bench for the Cottagers). Conor Doyle made his Championship debut in Derby County\'s 2-1 win over Cardiff City.

Forward Herculez Gomez drew the penalty that gave Pachuca their lone goal in a 4-1 loss to Cruz Azul.
