Netherlands 2:1 Slovakia
Arjen Robben scored in the 18th minute and Wesley Sneijder scored in the 84th minute to send Holland into the quarterfinals.

Brazil 3:0 Chile
Goals from Juan, Luis Fabiano, and Robinho propelled Brazil into the quarterfinals and a highly anticipated showdown with the Dutch.

* The head of the U.S. Soccer Federation is willing to have Major League Soccer experiment with changes that would reduce errors by on-field officials.

* French Football Federation president Jean-Pierre Escalettes says he will quit later this week following France\'s World Cup fiasco.

* U.S. coach Bob Bradley\'s future remains in question after the missed opportunity against Ghana.
