8 Jun, 2010Welcome to Potomac Soccer Wire\'s 2010 FIFA World Cup Headquarters. During the month of the World Cup in South Africa, we will bring you daily recaps, previews for the next day, standings, TV listings, local viewing party information and all the other news from the tournament.
The World Cup kicks off on Friday, with host nation South Africa taking on Mexico at 10:00am EST (ESPN) in Group A action. Will former president Nelson Mandela\'s appearance inspire the South African team to victory? Will the vuvuzelas be so loud that Mexico won\'t be able to hear each other on the field? Duck out of work early on Friday and don\'t miss the opening game.
