Maryland FC appoints former Pachuca Coach Rafael Rodrigues

Former coach of Mexican team Pachuca has been hired as Director of Coaching and Academy Director for Maryland United FC. Rafael also played professional soccer in Mexico and USA.

The Maryland United senior squad will play in the National Premier Soccer League\'s Northeast Division during the 2008 season. The NPSL is a Division III pro league providing amateur players the ability to play at the highest level possible.

Maryland United FC also affiliated with the US Futsal Federations Northeast Region Division III Pro League. The Futsal league will begin in December.

Finally, the U23 squad will play in MSSL next summer. The MSSL is an extremely competitive high level amateur northeast region league. U23 rostered players will have the opportunity to earn spots on the full NPSL team. Both teams are holding open tryouts Thrusdays in October, beginning next Thursday, October 11th.
