US Youth Soccer announces 2009 regional Administrator of the Year award winners
9 Feb, 2010US Youth Soccer announced the regional winners of the 2009 US Youth Soccer Administrator of the Year award. The Administrator of the Year award honors the extraordinary accomplishments in administration over a lifetime.
The national Administrator of the Year will be announced at the US Youth Soccer Awards Gala on Friday, Feb. 26, at 7:30 p.m., as part of the US Youth Soccer adidas Workshop in Fort Worth, Texas.
2009 US Youth Soccer Aministrator of the Year regional award winners:
Christopher Pacilio not only had a vision, but also the drive, determination and energy to see his goals to fruition. Under his leadership and guidance, the Northern New York Soccer League was built. Pacilio established coaching courses and ensured referee training. His league began with only Under-12 Boys and Girls. Pacilio's efforts have expanded the league's size to over 1,000 players in six different age groups for boys and girls. He has helped to bring organized soccer to youth in three counties in northern New York.
Jeff Bump was instrumental in establishing the River Falls Wildcat Association (RFWA) while serving in numerous capacities, the most recent being president. He is a Grade 8 referee and a USSF ""D"" License coach who knows the importance of each accomplishment; therefore, he implemented training courses for coaches and referees. Under his direction, RFWA added additional seasons, camps and clinics and underwent a $250,000 field renovation. His work as an administrator has truly shaped the soccer scene in River Falls, Minn.
Tanja Moree has a selfless and tireless work ethic driving her to make certain that all club and state matters are handled. Her commitment to the Mandeville Soccer Club is demonstrated through the countless hours she puts in, which is driven by her love of the game. The ingenuity she brings has created seamless programs, and she is proactive in every aspect within the organization. Throughout her time as an administrator, her integrity and devotion to her position have gone unquestioned.
Region IV – Teresa Obenauer – Kennewick, Wash.
Teresa Obenauer takes ownership of every task and responsibility she pursues. Her involvement as an administrator began 10 years ago with her two young boys playing soccer. Since then, she has instated certain expectations for Tri-Cities Youth Soccer Association, ensuring that corners are never cut and all players, coaches and referees are properly registered. Obenauer's dedication has increased the efficiency and accuracy to which all administrative tasks are done, even if it means she gives up personal time to see it to completion.
