U.S. Soccer launches new website
6 Aug, 2009U.S. Soccer officially launched a new and improved website at ussoccer.com today, providing fans with an improved web experience while establishing a new online community to create a greater connection to the national teams and their fellow supporters.
With a cleaner look and feel, the redesign provides users with smoother navigation and contains several exciting upgraded features designed to enhance the site’s performance, including an expanded video player with full screen capability. Due to the site’s resolution dependent layout, fans will now be able to enjoy Studio 90, all_access features and behind the scenes video in higher resolutions based on their connection speed and screen size.
ussoccer.com’s MatchTracker has received a major facelift, vastly improving the experience for fans that follow U.S. National Team matches live online. With the ability to provide real-time score updates, new sound elements, and a more in-depth information platform, MatchTracker will provide a comprehensive breakdown of all the game action and critical facts for the viewers.
A major component to the new web platform is the creation of an integrated online community, giving users the ability to interact with soccer fans and the national teams through comments, blogs, and user-generated forums. More than ever, ussoccer.com will serve as a host to foster ideas, exchanges and commentary amongst supporters in the U.S. and around the world.
From a content perspective, users will find there is easier access to multiple programs on the front page, expanded player profiles, team news and statistics, and various multimedia features. Photo galleries generated by International Sports Images, the official photography service of U.S. Soccer, can be viewed in higher resolution and with user-friendly search engines that will help fans easily locate the images of their choice.
