US Soccer Development Academy Winter Showcase concludes
18 Feb, 2008The first ever US Soccer Development Academy Winter Showcase took place last weekend at Pizza Hut Park in suburban Dallas. After the original kick off times were postponed due to heavy rains in the Dallas area Friday, the full slate of matches featuring some of the country's best U16 and U18 boys teams were completed. Our area was represented by two teams from each of three clubs - D.C. United, Baltimore Bays, and Potomac. Combined, the three clubs went 6-4-2, scoring 26 goals and allowing 21 (10 in one match by U-16 Potomac team). Individually, D.C. United teams went 2-1-1, Potomac went 1-2-1, and Baltimore had the best showing with a record of 3-1-0.
