Four Cavaliers taken in MLS SuperDraft and Supplemental Draft
1 Feb, 2008Virginia standout Jeremy Barlow was selected by the Houston Dynamo in the fourth round of the MLS SuperDraft and teammates Yannick Reyering (FC Dallas), Chris Tierney (New England Revolution) and Zola Short (Columbus Crew) were selected in the supplemental draft. Barlow and Short are both seniors and both from northern Virginia – Barlow from Herndon and Short from Arlington. After playing at Virginia, 39 former Cavaliers have gone on to play Major League Soccer. Last season there were 11 former Virginia players in MLS, representing seven of the 13 clubs.
