Shane Cooke named D.C. United Youth Player of Year

Joining D.C. United Academy in early 2007, Shane Cooke's hard work, skill and dedication has earned him the honor of being the 2007 Player of the Year. He joined in early 2007 from Mid County Soccer Assocation Strykers and quickly experienced success. His time with the D.C. United Academy allowed him to train at times with the first team, as well as to his international debut this October with the U-18 National Team in France, where he scored a goal against Turkey.
