Maryland's Zac MacMath preps for U-20 World Cup with summer abroad
26 Aug, 2010University of Maryland junior Zac MacMath didn\'t spend his summer by the pool or watching TV.
The young goalkeeper spent his time attending a U-20 Men\'s National Team training camp in California, then traveling to Northern Ireland for the Milk Cup. During the tournament, he notched two shutouts, including the final to take the championship.
Following the Milk Cup, MacMath went to Liverpool where he trained with EPL side Everton. During his time there, he lived and trained as a professional, and got the opportunity to stay with (and learn from) U.S. Men\'s National Team and Everton star GK Tim Howard.
MacMath is now back at Maryland, but what will he decide to do after this season? Stay and finish out his college playing career or leave and turn professional?
