Five of the 12 2010 US Youth Soccer National Champions were crowned today at the Overland Park Soccer Complex, in Overland Park, Kan., where the country\'s top teams have earned a place to compete in the final step of the 2010 US Youth Soccer National Championship Series. This weekend\'s championship finals were determined after three days of round robin play, earlier this week.

Thunderstorms rolled through Overland Park this evening delaying the start of games by more than an hour, but the weather did not dampen the spirit and excitement once the Under-19 Boys and Under-14 and Under-15 Boys and Girls games kicked off under the lights. Teams were greeted by crowds of the more than 3,500 who were estimated in attendance, adding to the energy that was in the air and on display.

The Under-19 Boys championship match was broadcast live in HD on Fox Soccer Channel for the 75th anniversary of the James P. McGuire Cup. The match will re-air Tuesday, July 17 at 5 p.m. ET and Wednesday, July 28 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox Soccer Channel. The match will also be streamed on-demand at www.foxsoccer.tv beginning Sunday.

Under-14 Girls
Foothill MVLA Lightning (CA-N) 0, Sting 96 (TX-N) 0 OT, PKs 5-3
Sting 96 (N-TX) was one of two teams from the club in the finals and entered the match with some confidence from their 1-0 over MVLA Lighting (CA-N) in group play. The loss was the first for MVLA since the regional tournament. The hero for MVLA was defense and specifically keeper Jacquelyn Caginia. Sting looked to make the most of scoring chances and each time Caginia was up to the challenge. Scoreless through regulation and two overtime periods, the final moved to kicks. It was Caginia, this time saving the first Sting kick and ultimately scoring the game winner for the 5-3 advantage.

Under-14 Boys
Eclipse Select (IL) 2, Crossfire Premier 95 (WA) 1
Eclipse Select of Illinois has three teams in this weekend\'s national championships; however, this is the only boys team. Five minutes in, Brian Werchek gave Eclipse the 1-0 advantage over Crossfire Premier (WA). Werchek\'s goal looked like it would hold until Henry Wingo, U.S. National Team player, added a third goal on the week to lead all scorers in the 60th minute. In stoppage time, Michael Catalano hit the game winner to give Eclipse their first boy\'s national championship with the 2-1 win.

Under-15 Girls
Sting 95 (TX-N) 1, Scorpions Elite (MA) 0
After the second day of the Under-15 Girls group play, Sting 95 (N-TX) and Scorpions Elite (MA) reserved their place in the national championship final. Sting entered the final with hopes of a title for the team and to secure a ninth title for the club to move into a tie with Colorado Rush for the most girls\' national championships by a single club. Scorpions Elite had plans of their own and the US Youth Soccer National League representative found a couple of scoring chances early from Lauren Berman. Teammate McKenzie Meehan entered the match with six goals on the week to lead all scorers but it was Madelyn Crabtree scoring for Sting in the 23rd providing the 1-0 advantage. Scorpions\' Katelyn Mountjoy had a dangerous ball in the 39th that struck the crossbar and Sting would hold to earn the Under-15 national title; 9th overall for the organization.

Under-15 Boys
Baltimore Bays Chelsea (MD) 2
, Albion White (CA-S) 1 OT
Familiar foes met in the Under-15 Boys championship final, the Baltimore Bays Chelsea (MD) and Albion White (CA-S). The teams\' first met this season in National League play where Albion secured a 1-0 victory, went on to claim the league title and earn tickets to the national championships. The second meeting was in yesterday\'s group play match where Albion came out on top again, 2-0. Albion, took the field without their starting keeper due to injury and the Bays looked to keep two streaks alive. The Bays soccer club has claimed at least one national title since 2005 and claimed back-to-back Under-15 Boys titles beginning in 2008. It would take only four minutes for the Bays to find a seam and Romilio Hernandez finished for the 1-0 advantage. Albion leveled the match in the 13th off a Shane Mahvi strike. Tied at 1-1, overtime was needed and in the extra time, the Bays\' Christian Porras hit what would be the game winner and give the Bays the 2-1, and 2010 national championship title.

Under-19 Boys
Columbus Crew Juniors (OH-S) 1, FC Delco Hammerheads (E-PA) 0
It was an electric setting for the Under-19 Boys national championship game with over 3,500 fans in attendance to watch the 75th anniversary of the James P. McGuire Cup. Honoring the historic night, the match was broadcast live in HD on Fox Soccer Channel. Strong storms rolled through the area just prior to kickoff but cleared in time for the crowd to see Columbus Crew Juniors (OH-S) edge FC Delco Hammerheads (E-PA) 1-0. In a game that offered little scoring chances, Crew\'s Tyler Pollock scored the lone goal in the 36th minute. FC Delco created two late chances that were cleared safely. The Crew win earned the club their first national championship a first by a Major League Soccer youth academy team. Crew raced onto the field hoisting the McGuire Cup to celebrate their win and last game together as youth players.

Each national championship match features the awarding of the adidas Golden Ball and Golden Glove award for outstanding play and goal keeper, respectively.
