Report-a-Score.com TRIAL Soccer Rankings: July 9, 2010

Potomac Soccer Wire companion website, Report-a-Score.com has just completed the sixth trial rankings of Virginia, Maryland and DC area youth soccer teams.

Though still in TRIAL mode, there is now a good sampling of games from Maryland and Virginia, so those rankings are becoming more accurate by the week. The top divisions in NCSL and WAGS are best represented, and recent state cups from both states, as well as the Region I tournament are also being counted.

We believe with a fair representation of recent games for each team, that these rankings will be the fairest available, as they are based on a sound, proven algorithm that takes an opponent\'s strength into account in every single game, not just per event. Other major differences in this ranking system include adjusting points as games grow further into the past, weighing the importance of each game.
