Eight local teams win titles as U.S. Youth Soccer Region I champions are crowned

The U.S. Youth Soccer Region I Championships wrapped up today in Barboursville City Park in Barboursville, West Virginia. These teams competed in three days of round robin competition, Semifinal games yesterday, and the Finals matches today.

All local teams from Virginia and Maryland that made it to the Finals took home championships.

For the U-14 through U-19 boys and girls, winning the Region I crown also means a ticket to the National Championships, which will take place in Phoenix, Arizona at the end of July.
