Hey MDODP1991 you forgot you were submitting entries on this topic as Trainer!
The Bethesda Board has changed, how is that for accountability?
There were 62 clubs in Season 1. For season 2, US Soccer added 12 clubs to the program. So, they are continuing to add clubs. Just check their website dude.
BTW, what happened to your "2 clubs per state" rule?

Never said this as it would not be true? Texas, California.... Accountability, replaced the board? Great, did not know that. Too little to late. Consequences will be felt for years. Teams added in year two were for the most part undersaturated geoographical areas. BTW, fee pretty good MD-DC area will not be saturated by another Academy team any time soon. Best of luck. Put money on this one as DC can influence this decision should the topic even be discussed seriously. Pachuca has pro affiliation, they would be next. IMHO.

Ahhh, MDODP1991/Trainer/MDODP1991, or whatever you are calling yourself in you next post.....
So now you say Pachuca will be the next Academy club because they have a "pro affiliation." Do they have a US SOCCER affiliation? What have they done to develop US players? Or, is that not so important to you anymore?
Your arguments are all over the place. You hate Bethesda. We get that. How about coming up with a fact or two to support your assertions?

Check back in 1 year and that will validate my comments that we will have 3 Academy Clubs in the area. Bays, DC, and Potomac. In fact check back in 2 years and you will find the same. New Development Academy teams will have major affiliations to that support cost structure. I do not hate Bethesda at all I wish them and the players the best in the NCSL and ODP systems.
I guess I mispoke about the 2 clubs per state rule, what I had heard, this is merely hearsay from other respectable coaches was that only two team from MD were going to have academy's. I'm assuming that this would be due to the saturation of clubs in such a small distance and this would sory of go against the whole idea of development and getting the best to play with the best...What would happen is Bethesda, Potomac, and Baltimore would weaken if this were to happen in my opinion.
If you have 4 Academy teams within ~30 miles of eachother maximum distance why not just have MD ODP and kill the Academy's to take the best of the best...
This isn't rocket science....I appreciate the quick attacks from people bringing up states like Cali, Texas etc. that are bigger than some smaller countires out there.
