31 Goals

US Soccer's video crew has posted all 31 Men's national team goals from 2007. Besides Benny's Gold Cup miracle, which is your favorite?

Site note: How good is Landon Donovan? We forget how good I'm sure - mostly because his refusal to move to Europe. Most of his goals on this reel are in another class, and the thought of he and a healthy David Beckham on the Galaxy together is just a little scary for fans of other MLS teams. With the success of Clint Dempsey and Brian McBride as goal scorers in Europe, I truly hope Landon moves to the EPL before his 28th Birthday so he can become a true global star. Personally, I hope DB finally convinces Donovan that he has what it takes to be a star in Europe, and that he makes the jump. He's trying to help soccer in the U.S. by staying, but I think he'd help it more at this point by going. Go out in the world and be our ambassador. Convince the Eurosnobs that players developed in MLS can be stars in their country, and suddenly MLS will become a breading ground for young talent looking to make their own step to Europe one day.

Blog Launches

After over a year of publishing the Potomac Soccer Wire newsletter and web site, and about the past nine months of including a section called "Editor's Corner", I thought it was about time to take the step of starting a BLOG.

In addition to the Editor's Corner content included in our newsletter, I may post additional information from time to time. The content will however, always be solely the personal opinion of yours truly, and not to be interpreted as news reporting. We'll save that for real stories published on our web site.
